We are a group of anglers that call Puerto Escondido in beautiful Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico our home base.
Puerto Escondido is located at Loreto, B.C.S. on the Sea of Cortez, surrounded by the Islands of Loreto and the Sierra La Gigante mountains.
Our purpose is to raise monies for local charities and to take advantage of the great fishing in Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico

$120.00 usd entry fee is good for up to four (4) anglers on a single boat.
Additional anglers are $75.00 each
Entry fee includes a T-shirt and Award dinner tickets for each angler

2013 TOURNAMENT RULES
|
|
Entry fee of $120.00usd - good for up to 4 anglers per boat - additional angles are $75.00 each. |
|
If launching at Puerto Escondido, a launching ramp permit must be purchased from the Fonatur Office prior to launching.
Cost for Launch Permit is $105 pesos per day. Documents needed for Launch Permit:
1) Documentation/Boat registration 2) Insurance-Liability 3) Temporal Importation 4) Owner ID/Passport

Two Dorado and one "other" fish may be weighed in each day by each team. First, second & third place team trophies will be awarded to the teams with the two largest Dorado - combined weight - caught over the two days. A team trophy will be awarded for the single largest Dorado and another team trophy will be awarded for the single largest "other" fish of the two days. NO BILLFISH - NO SHARKS!!!. |

This is a rod and reel only event. Dead bait, live bait and lures are acceptable for the Tournament. Participants are responsible for their own bait.

Entrants may help other team members bring in a fish (i.e. small children, etc.) |
|
Tournament channel is 79. Teams are encouraged to call in their catch. |
|
The Weigh Station location will be announced @ Registration. Boats must be in the Harbor by 4:00 p.m. Call the Weigh Station when you enter the Harbor (entrance to the "Waiting Room") if time is about to expire. If you bring your catch in by vehicle, you must be at the Weigh Station before 4:30pm. |
|
All fish must be caught on the day of the Tournament and may be tested for freshness. |
|
No refunds will be given for any reason including, but not limited to acts of nature, war, national or international security, travel restrictions or bad luck. |
|
In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the Tournament Committee may choose to cancel a day of fishing for the tournament. If one day has been canceled, the tournament will be decided on the results of a single day.
Captains are ultimately responsible for their crew and should make decisions based on safe sea conditions. |
|
Entrants agree to hold the Tournament, its sponsors, staff and volunteers harmless from any and all actions of any kind. |
|
Entrants are responsible for following all fishing and Marine Park rules and regulations and must ensure all licenses, etc., are current and legal.
|
